Free Medical & Surgical Clinic in Kismatpur, India

CHI clinic

In a relatively rural area of India sits Kismatpur. It is home to a Children's Home (i.e. Orphanage) that provides quality housing, clothing, food, and education to over five hundred children. It is surrounded by villages with a population total of about 25,000. The community has little or no access to desperately needed nearby medical care.

On the site of Rock Children's Home, CHI has constructed and funds a free medical clinic for the orphans and the surrounding population. The clinic is open daily and is staffed by qualified doctors and nurses. It is also used by the government as a vaccination center for children. Out of this clinic we also run special campaigns such as free eye examinations and glasses. It is not uncommon for people to walk twenty miles or more to receive needed care. CHI has also constructed and funds a fully equipped Eye Operation Theatre on site providing Vision Restoring Surgery to thousands.
